Load type > Dynamic Wind (WINDD)

Input of dynamic wind buffeting load in time domain calculated in TINT schedule action. Input is via wind direction, wind profile and optional parameters for analysis. The wind load applies constant mean wind load (WINDM) together with time dependent wind fluctuation part.

Assembly Alternative to load assignment via element series: Name of the assembly to be loaded. The specified load is applied to every element of the specified assembly.
Rx, Ry, Rz Direction vector of the mean wind
Wind No. Number of the assigned wind profile containing the remaining parameters describing the wind loading (density, velocity, distribution over the height, etc.)
Linearized…
  • Selected; Wind load is applied as linear load on a structure. Results are directly comparable to the frequency domain solution.
  • Not-Selected [default]; A nonlinear full-vector wind load is applied to the structure.
Ignore…
  • Selected; Aerodynamic damping and stiffness are ignored.
  • Not-Selected [default]; Aerodynamic damping and stiffness are included.
